Has The Batman Franchise Found It’s Next Director?

Just seen this interview with Darren Aronofsky pop up on Google News. He mentions that his old script is being made in to a comic, before letting slip that “we’re going to do a comic book version first and see what happens…”.

Aronofsky is quite possibly the only director in Hollywood right now with the anal cinematography, dark tone, and amazing story telling capable of taking over the Batman series after Christopher Nolan jumps ship. Plus, can you imagine a Batman score composed by Clint Mansell? If that’s not epic like King Kong hanging  his dick off the Empire State building, then I don’t know what the fuck is.

But the best part about this rumor is that Aronofsky confirms news that the script he wrote for the Batman series before Nolan came on board is officially being made into a comic book. Double score!

So to recap: We have a confirmed Wolverine sequel directed by Aronofsky, a comic book rendition of his Batman script, and a possible movie to follow. I do believe that’s a trifecta of awesomeness ladies and gentleman.
