Who would’ve thought?
“I don’t believe Rand is a racist; I think he is a fool who is suffering from the foolish consistency syndrome that affects all libertarians. They believe that freedom consists of one thing and one thing only–freedom from governmental constraint. Therefore, it is illogical to them that any increase in government power could ever expand freedom. Yet it is clear that African Americans were far from free in 1964 and that the Civil Rights Act greatly expanded their freedom while diminishing that of racists. To defend the rights of racists to discriminate is reprehensible and especially so when it is done by a major party nominee for the U.S. Senate.”
On a lazy Sunday afternoon I decided to stroll through the Barnes and Noble up the street from my house and peruse through their current affairs section. As I looked at the shelves it struck; just how paranoid and out of touch with reality conservatives have become. I’m used to seeing flaming rhetoric on either side of the aisle but this was ridiculous. Its as if Rush Limbaugh was holding a garage sale and I had inadvertently stumbled smack dab into the middle of it.
Don’t believe me? Here are a few examples:
Obama Zombies: How the Liberal Machine Brainwashed My Generation
The Manchurian President: Barack Obama’s Ties to Communists, Socialists and Other Anti-American Extremists
The Blueprint: Obama’s Plan to Subvert the Constitution and Build an Imperial Presidency
Power Grab: How Obama’s Green Policies Will Steal Your Freedom and Bankrupt America
How The Obama Administration Threatens Our National Security
And the list goes on.
Its like Sarah Palin was selling off her collection of books after ironically remembering that she didn’t know how to read.
It amazes me how much so called conservative “intellectualism”/ “populism” really boils down to a fanatical obsession with blaming other people for all of the problems in their life. (HA! Personal responsibility my ass.). I wonder, if the government is so oppressive why don’t conservatives just use their guns to fight the tyranny? Oh wait, probably because that’s a stupid idea.
If only they could learn…
Ever wonder what Toy Story would look like it if were the Dark Knight? Yeah, me either, but at least we know:
A bit of context for this video. Apparently this kid played WoW everyday religious. But one day he left himself logged on and his roommate decided to play a prank on him by changing his password. And the rest as they say, is shameful but hilarious history:
I’m surprised his roommate managed to keep a straight face for so long.

Who say’s a bunch of fat college guys can’t sing
I’m not really a Lady Gaga fan, or at all for that matter, but I gotta admit, this is impressive. Bonus points for the humorous choreography.
